The points are classified as A-points or B-points according to the Decree from
which they were established:
A. Straight Base Lines established under the Decree of 7 February 1984 for
the Territorial Sea, Exclusive Economic Zone, and Continental Shelf of
the USSR off the mainland and islands of the Pacific Ocean, the Sea of
Japan, the Sea of Okhotsk, and the Bering Sea.
B. Straight Base Lines established under the Decree of 15 January 1985 for
the Territorial Sea, Exclusive Economic Zone, and Continental Shelf of
the USSR off the mainland and islands of the Northern Arctic Ocean,
the Baltic Sea, and the Black Sea.
