Create Field Definition file
Selecting this menu choice will enable creating a data set member attribute
definition file for the active theme. For each attribute, the user is prompted to
specify field name alias, whether to allow using the
Display attribute menu choice, name of an attribute value look-up file, and a brief free-text
description of the attribute. The information is written to an ASCII file with
the same basename as the active theme, but with .fld instead of .shp as
extension.
Note:
You must have write access to the folder of the active theme to use this menu
choice.
