Cand. scient. (Master of Science), University of Oslo, 1996 (Geography).

Professional experience
   Head of Administration, FNI (since 2011).
   Information Officer and Project Administrator, FNI (2005-2011).
   Advisor at the Embassy of Japan in Norway (2002-2005).
   Participant in various research projects related to the Northern Sea Route and Northern Russian resources and infrastructure, FNI, (2000-2002).
   Conference organizer, Northern Sea Route User Conference, FNI, (1999).
   Part of the International Northern Sea Route Programme (INSROP) Secretariat at FNI (1996-99), eventually as Head.

Main research interests (currently not active)
   Resource geography and transport infrastructure of the Russian North.
   The Northern Sea Route and arctic marine transport.
