Claes Lykke Ragner

Claes Lykke RagnerBorn: 1966

Position at FNI: Information Officer / Project Administrator

Academic background:
Cand. scient. (Master of Science), University of Oslo, 1996 (Geography).

Professional experience:
   Part of the International Northern Sea Route Programme Secretariat at FNI (1996-99), eventually as Head.
   Conference organizer, Northern Sea Route User Conference, FNI, (1999).
   Participant in various research projects related to the Northern Sea Route and Northern Russian resources and infrastructure, FNI, (2000-2002).
   Advisor at the Embassy of Japan in Norway (2002-2005).
   Information Officer and Project Administrator, FNI (since 2005).

Main functions at FNI:
   Responsible for producing and presenting information material and news about FNI research.
   Webmaster of the FNI website and several project websites.
   Coordination of FNI events (seminars, conferences etc.)
   Administration of major FNI projects, including the institute's EU projects.

Main research interests (currently not active):
   Resource geography and transport infrastructure of the Russian North.
   The Northern Sea Route and arctic marine transport.
