This dataset is an excerpt from the Digital Chart of the World and was
prepared by Grid Arendal, Norway, as part of INSROP Project I.3.1 in 1994. The dataset
is in scale 1:1 mill. See http://www.maproom.psu.edu/dcw/ for more information
about the Digital Chart of the World.
As PC capability was more restricted when the dataset was prepared it was
split into several parts. The parts are numbered from 1 to 7 and includes areas as
follows:
1: between 65°N and 85°N and from 50°E to 65°E.
2: between 65°N and 85°N and from 65°E to 90°E.
3: between 70°N and 85°N and from 90°E to 115°E.
4: between 60°N and 85°N and from 115°E to 135°E.
5: between 70°N and 85°N and from 135°E to 155°E.
6: between 65°N and 85°N and from 155°E to 175°E.
7: between 65°N and 90°N and from 175°E to 170°W.
