The project considers the questions related to the design of the information
system for the support of the transit navigation along the NSR. The Russian
automated ice-information system, its infrastructure, technical and information
characteristics are described. A brief critical overview of ice information
systems in other countries is presented. The proposals for the design of a general
multifunctional information system for INSROP on the basis of the existing
Russian system are formulated.
