China’s Climate Change Policy: Through the Prism of Energy Policy

This project consists of three separate sub-projects, all investigating topics related to China and climate change policy:
China's international climate policies: What are the country's interests in the different international arenas? How is China perceived? In which direction are its politics moving?
Norwegian-Chinese relations: Mapping of Norwegian projects and Sino-Norwegian cooperation in the fields of energy and climate, with a view to contributing to a future, more coordinated Norwegian strategy on Chinese energy and climate issues.
CDM in China: What is the status for the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) in China, including policy and project development? What are the barriers to the success of CDM projects in China and how do actors in the projects influence the development? How are other issues than climate change/environment, like human rights, taken into consideration?
