Home  About FNI  Research  Publications  Staff  News & events  Contact		FNI PROJECTS Evaluation of the Norwegian Children and Youth Council's Democracy Funds This project has evaluated the support mechanism Democracy Funds, which is administered and managed by The Norwegian Children and Youth Council (LNU by its Norwegian acronym). LNU receives financial support from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to finance the Democracy Funds. The Democracy Funds seeks to strengthen the role played by children and youth organisations in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, the Russian Federation and Ukraine. The aim is to foster sustainable civil societies, and it supports co-operation projects between Norwegian children and youth organisations and their partner organisations in the recipient countries. Selected projects have been evaluated to investigate their contribution to the support mechanism’s meeting of objectives. In addition, LNU’s management and administration of the support mechanism have been evaluated. The evaluation period was 2000-2007 and the project has been financed by LNU.
