FNI PROJECTS
Yearbook of International Co-operation on Environment and
Development (YBICED)
The Yearbook of International
Co-operation on Environment and Development was an independent annual
publication edited by FNI 1992-2004. The Yearbook's objective was to
demonstrate the international community's positions on specific environment and
development problems, to show the main obstacles to effective international
solutions, and to analyze how they could be overcome. It assessed the
achievements and shortcomings of international co-operation.
The
Yearbook had two principal sections:
A database section with updated factual information about
the most important agreements, IGOs and NGOs of international environmental
cooperation.
An analysis section with evaluation
articles of various aspects, instruments and organizations of international
environmental cooperation.
The Yearbook first appeared in 1992 in
connection with the Rio Conference, and was until 1997 known as the Green
Globe Yearbook. The 11th and last edition was released in October 2003.
Beginning in 1995, several of the editions have also been released in Chinese
translation.
The Yearbook's evaluation articles (1994-2003/2004)
of various aspects, instruments and organizations of international
environmental cooperation kan be found here.
