RUSSCASP RESEARCH:

Oil and Gas Developments in the Caspian Region

The Caspian Sea Region will continue to be a demanding arena for external actors, defined by an insecure environment, authoritarian regimes and unpredictable legal frameworks. In the Caspian part of the RUSSCASP programme we aim to develop a deeper understanding of the Caspian regimes and policies; external and internal factors affecting the potential for political and economic instability in the region; and other drivers affecting the general working environment for actors in the oil and gas sector.
