Photo: the Presidential administration of RomaniaAbout the keynote speaker: In addition to serving as Professor of International Law at the University of Bucharest, Bogdan Aurescu (born 1973) is currently Presidential Adviser on Foreign Affairs to the President of Romania. He was Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania in 2014-2015. He is a member of the UN International Law Commission, of the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague, and a substitute member of the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission) of the Council of Europe. Aurescu was also the Agent of Romania in the 2009 'Black Sea case' (Romania v. Ukraine) at the International Court of Justice.
