Farmers’ Rights: Highlights of the 2016 Global Consultation
The Norwegian Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Indonesian Agency for Agricultural Research and Development, and the Secretariat of the International Plant Treaty, with FNI as a contributing partner, invite you to a side event on Farmers’ Rights and the 2016 Global Consultation.
The side event takes place during the Seventh Session of the Governing Body of the Plant Treaty, and is moderated by Carlos Correa, University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The following topics will be discussed:
- The importance of Farmers’ Rights and the major accomplishments during the last biennium
- The main topics and conclusions of the Global Consultation on Farmers’ Rights-2016
- The options for actions for the Governing Body at its 7th Session
