While Russia’s gas exports took a serious hit, its oil continues to power a lot of global economies. “There is a big difference between oil and natural gas, Russia is exporting as much oil as it can,” said Arild Moe, an expert on the Russian energy sector at Norway’s Fridtjof Nansen Institute.
