Iver B. Neumann, Andreas Østhagen, and their colleagues at FNI are embarking on a new research project on three dimensions that shed light on the nature of Arctic politics: deterrence, dependency, and dialogue.

Lars H. Gulbrandsen and his colleagues at the Fridtjof Nansen Institute (FNI) have been granted over NOK 12 million to examine the implications of EU climate policy for forestry and land use in Norway. 

Tor Håkon Jackson Inderberg and his colleagues at the FNI (Fridtjof Nansen Institute) have every reason to celebrate: they have been granted over NOK 11 million for research on the driving forces and obstacles to solar power in Norway. Over the next four years, they will investigate what needs to be done to facilitate the expansion of solar power in Norway, as well as identifying pitfalls to be avoided.

On 9 June 2023, the FNI co-organised, together with the University of Bern World Trade Institute, an international conference on sea level rise.
