I am a Senior Policy Analyst with a law background. My core area of research is international environmental governance and law with a specific emphasis on biodiversity, protection of the marine environment and law of the sea and the Arctic. Before entering academia, I have 20 years of experience as a lead negotiator in international environmental negotiations for my native country Denmark and for the EU during Danish EU presidencies. From 2005 to 2007 I was Chairman of the Subsidiary Body on Technical, Technological and Scientific Advice (SBSTTA) under the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).
