My main research interests are within the field of international environmental cooperation and European climate and energy policies.

Much of my research examines the initiation, decision-making, and implementation of policies with emphasis on how to promote agreement among actors with different interests and preferences. Current substantial research interest includes climate and energy policies: the European Green Deal, different European countries such as the Nordic and Poland, industry sectors like the oil industry and the EU’s role in the Paris Agreement.

I’m working with policies that both ‘push’ low carbon technologies through innovation and policies that ‘pull’ demand for such technologies such as emissions trading/carbon pricing and renewable energy support.
