My research interests are mainly within the fields of climate and energy policy and politics, as well as environmental policy. This includes policy adoption and influence on these, as well as the shaping of political processes. Another general area of my work is oriented towards different kinds of effects of policies on climate and energy low carbon transition. These foci include work on smart metering policy, emissions trading, EU geoeconomics, electricity decentralization policies, prosuming, Carbon Capture and Storage, and over the last few years also windpower licensing. I have published work from jurisdictions like Norway and the Nordics, Germany, the EU, New Zealand, and the UK, using a varied social science approaches.
